After my resignation from the Ministry of Plane, the people were fond to meet me, but I had no office and no house. My economical situation was not good to rent a house or office. Therefore I requested from Kabul Municipal to give the permission of installing a tent in Shar-e-Now Park, after my request he agreed & permitted me to install the tent.Now the people call this tent as a (National Tent) , Today different people with different religions , tribes & parties with different ideas visit this tent and share their problems & the ways to solve them.Some people come here to discuss the political situation of the country and some people just come to visit me personally.
Also outside of the tent is covered with a wall which is made up of cloths. The people call this wall as (Freedom wall).
It’s the first time in Afghanistan that all the newspapers from different religious groups, tribes & parties are attached in the notice board so that the people study them & judge them by their own self. It shall be mentioned that we have a notebook that we can call it job guide for jobless people. In this notebook the vacancies in different organizations are listed. Where the jobless people can come and find information about vacancies. We try our best to face the employer with the jobless people, so that an Afghan can find a job and salary.Kabul.Afghanistan

My name is Travis Beard, chief Editor of the Photo Department at Aina Media Centre, Kabul. Our rollin Afghanistan is to teach and empower Afghans in photography and photojournalism, so they caneventually represent their country on the global media stage.
