Batsha Theater in Kabul Afghanistan

Murtaza, Araf and Sidharmad, students, are playing traditional Persian theater. Young comedians trained in June by the French theater troop Le theatre du Soleil are training before following a new workshop in Paris with Ariane Mnouchkine. From the 15th of June until the 6th of July 2005, the company of “Le Theatre du Soleil” directed by Ariane Mnouchkine was in Kabul, invited by The Foundation for Culture and Civil Society to organize training for Afghan actors and actresses and also to organize others workshops (sewing, lights, music, and building). A lot of theatre equipment (sewing machines, spotlights, tools, sound system and paint equipment, costumes, etc.) collected in France were offered to the people in Kabul.Afghanistan
